Altar Guild
The Altar Guild is a part of the worship ministry. It prepares communion for worship services and assists and serves communion to homebound members. They also provide bereaved families with visitation, pamphlets and information during times of death.

Christian Education
The Christian Education ministry works to call the church to be open to growth through study so that they become maturing disciples of Jesus Christ. Christian Education includes; Bible Studies, Church School for all ages; Vacation Bible School; Special Sunday emphasis of Christian Education.

Worship
The worship team plans, coordinates and designs worship services including all special emphasis days and musical concerts.

Senior Adults
The Senior Adult Ministry (S.A.M.) extends ministry to plan and implement activities and events focusing on the needs and desires of senior adults.

Singles
The Singles Ministry provides ministry to single adults offering them the opportunity to grow, gain knowledge and spiritual strength living life as single, saved and satisfied.

Good Samaritans
The Good Samaritans is the hospitality ministry of the church. They plan hospitality services for all special church activities and events. They minister to families through providing a dinner for families after funeral services. They also coordinate the annual church Christmas Dinner. The Good Samaritans Hospitality Ministry Day is observed every 2 nd Sunday in September

Praise Teams
The Praise Teams provide worship ministry through, dance, step, mime, and puppet. The ministry includes everyone, children, youth and adults.

Transportation
This ministry plans and coordinates travel and vehicle usage for all church activities. They provide drivers for church events and events beyond church facilities, including trips, excursions and field trip for children and youth.

Children

Learning the word of God and believing the word is our focus for children ages 0 -12 years of age. Our primary goal is to teach all children about Jesus Christ in a loving, exciting, and nurturing environment. We teach the scripture through bible stories, songs, puppets, dance, and other age appropriate ways.
Children’s Ministry is a vital part of Toulminville Warren - Street United Methodist Church’s family. Our mission is to nurture and enhance the spiritual development of all God’s children. We strive to help all children to grow in faith by knowing our Lord and Savior.
The staff of volunteers encourages the children to be an active participant in the church. At TWSUMC, the children are able to participate in Sunday school, The Joyful Voices Choir, acolyte program, puppet ministry, 5 th Sunday worship, Scouting, Easter and Christmas programs, Children’s Sabbath, praise team, nursery, and mission projects.
We strive to minister to the needs and concerns of the children and their family. You are encouraged to participate and to become involved in this growing ministry in the Lord!

Music
The Music Ministry is a part of the worship ministry that includes, voice, musicians, and training for the church. The ministry includes several choirs: Chancel Heritage Choir, Male Chorus, Mass Choir, Children’s Choir (Joyful Voices), Youth Choir, and The Gentle Spirits. There is room for your voice and gift in the music ministry.

United Methodist Men
The United Methodist Men ministers to the needs of men in the church. Their mission is to present a Godly male presence in every aspect of the life of the church and community. Through the training of men in the teaching ministry and activities men will grow in their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

The purpose of the United Methodist Women is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission.

United Methodist Youth
This ministry endeavors to allow youth an opportunity to actively participate in church service I an effort to prepare them spiritually to serve as adult leaders actively participating in ministry within the church.

Family Literacy Center
The Literacy Center is designed to improve the academic and behavioral performances of economically disadvantaged children in grades K-5. The ministry meets after school and works to involve parents as equal partners in their child’s daily achievements.

Child Development Center
The Toulminville-Warren Street Day Care Center is a Christian child development ministry that provides for the needs of children between the ages of 1 year to 12 years of age. Primary responsibility centers on pre-school development of skills and behaviors that prepare children to enter regular school. The Center provides a well-rounded opportunity for children to learn and grow through the use of our curriculum, facilities and staff. The Center operates between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm.

Intercessory Prayer
Group ministry that ministers to the needs of the church and membership through prayer. They meet twice weekly on Saturday morning at 6:00 am and Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm.

Lay Speakers
The Lay Speakers ministry serves the church through speaking at different functions including worship services. Lay speakers must complete a weekend training seminar to be certified. There is also an advance course offered to those who desire more training. .

Disaster Response
The Disaster Response Ministry within the church that serves the needs of the membership and community in the event of a natural disaster. The members work closely with District and Conference Disaster Teams when needed.

Scouting
The Scouting Ministry includes Cub and Boy Scout packs and troop. They minister to boys between the ages of 6 to 16. The ministry builds Godly character, responsibility, respect and accountability. They meet every Thursday evening at 6:00 pm.

Recreation
The Recreation Ministry provides Christian fun, fellowship and friendship for the members and friends of the church. Through such activities as bowling, golf, and family fun nights this ministry is one of the most popular in the church. It’s fun for the whole family.

Higher Education/Campus
The Higher Education Ministry coordinates the church’s higher education initiatives. They oversee all educational gifts and scholarships as well as keeping in touch with each student that is away in college while they are away. They also plan and coordinate special worship services, Back To School and United Methodist Student Day.

Ushers
The Ushers Ministry ministers to the needs of the church during worship services. They are an extension of the hospitality ministry providing seating, greeting and tending to members and guests during each worship service.

Evangelism
The Evangelism Ministry is designed to witness to the unsaved the, life, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through special services, workshops, events and activities people are invited to become a part of the Body of Christ.

Status & Role of Women
The Status and Role of Women is a ministry that serves and addresses the specific needs of the female population of the church and community. Through workshops, seminars and conferences they provide much needed information and awareness to the issues affecting women.
